We have just introduced a range of new tmactive150 Yoga sessions at Larkfield Leisure Centre. Choose from: Pre School Yoga, Family Yoga, Antenatal, Postnatal Yoga, Parent & Baby Yoga and ‘This Girl Can’ Mum & Daughter Yoga. Please give us a call to book your place on 01622 719345.

TUESDAY

Tuesday @ 1.15pm- 2pm  Pre-School Yoga (parent and child age 30 months-4 years)

As your little one grows, doing yoga with your toddler is a great way to enrich the bonding process since this is the age of imitation, independence, and rapid brain and body development.  From your shared yoga classes, you will play an intimate part in your child’s developmental journey, in which they will make accelerated progress in a range of areas including:

  • Physical development and gross and fine motor control
  • Sensory connection, creativity and mindfulness
  • Self-awareness, confidence, tolerance and social skills
  • Recognising anxiety and developing ways to manage this

Cost: £5 per session

Tuesday @ 2pm- 2.45pm  Mum & Baby Yoga (6 weeks to pre-crawlers)

When you practice baby yoga with a new-born, the focus is completely on the baby and their body. You speak directly to them and maintain eye contact as you guide their body through the poses, which helps them to feel comfortable and safe. Baby yoga has a lot of similarities to baby massage with a focus on skin-to-skin contact, then you can add the breathing exercises and stretches, as well. It is a whole body and mind practice for mum and baby. 

Cost: £5 per session

Tuesday @ 3.45pm- 4.30pm   Family Yoga (4-10 year olds)

Family yoga is a playful way for adults and children hare some time together and develop a variety of important skills in a nurturing, non-competitive setting. It is for any age and ability.  In an environment of total encouragement and unconditional positivity, all the family can relax and have lots of fun. Yoga is great for both physical and mental health, through a host of imaginative games and activities to develop awareness of the mind and body whilst building strength, coordination, flexibility and balance. 

Cost £5 per family per session

Tuesday @ 4.30- 5.15pm   ‘This Girl Can Yoga’ (mum and daughter 11+)

‘This Girl Can’ mum and daughter Yoga is a fantastic way for mothers and daughters to enjoy and share some time together. The session is suitable for of all abilities.  Yoga is great for both physical and mental health, through a host of exercises and activities to develop awareness of the mind and body whilst building strength, coordination, flexibility and balance. 

Cost: £5 per session

Tuesday @ 5.15pm- 6.00pm   Antenatal Yoga

As your body prepares for your baby's birthday, it is important to maintain core strength while improving flexibility, stability and openness in the hips and pelvis.  You will also become more aware of your breath and learn more ways to control your breathing, something that's key during pregnancy and labour. 

Cost: £3 per session

FRIDAY

 

Friday @ 11.45am- 12.30pm   ‘This Girl Can’ Back to fitness Yoga, body conditioning and Pilates- suitable for postnatal women

This gentle yoga session, suitable for postnatal women will gently guide you back through rehabilitation.  The instructor will incorporate a light touch of all aspects of yoga including postures, breathing and relaxation techniques in your recovery.  The Creche is open at this time, call 01622 71935 for queries and bookings.

Friday @ 12.30pm-1.15pm   Mum and Baby Yoga (6 weeks to pre-crawlers)
