All tmactive facilities have an ongoing aim of improving the quality of the service for all residents of the borough and to making access as easy as possible for everyone. Our buildings have been adapted in a number of ways to comply with the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act and staff have been provided with training to service disabled customers.
Larkfield Leisure Centre, Angel Centre & Tonbridge Pool
- Disabled parking spaces close to the entrance for disabled badge holders
- Automatic entrance doors and level access
- Low level reception desks
- Induction loops at service counters
- Dedicated changing and toilet facilities for people with disabilities
- Tactile signage
- Assistance dogs are welcome
- Disabled access to the pools including hoists in the Fitness Pools. The Teaching Pool at Larkfield Leisure Centre also has a hoist, as does the Spa Pool at Larkfield and Tonbridge Swimming Pool
- Access to centre literature in large print, braille and audio formate
- SEN bookable swimming sessions during peak times
Both Larkfield Leisure Centre and Tonbridge Swimming Pool's facilities are on one floor. The Angel Centre and Poult Wood Golf Course are based across two floors and have lift access.

Special Needs Groups
We offer a range of activity sessions during the week for school and special needs groups, as well as the opportunity to hire the facilities for your own private events. Options include: swimming, private hire and Special Needs Clubs. The Special Needs Club at Larkfield Leisure Centre takes place on the first and third Saturday of each month. Accessibility at Leybourne Lakes Country Park
- There are four designated disabled parking spaces in the main car park with two additional bays located closer to the café area for disabled badge holders
- Dedicated changing and toilet facilities for people with disabilities
- Wide wheelchair accessible footpaths - most routes have a made surface not grass, but can be bumpy. Footpaths are fairly level with low gradient hills around Ocean Lake
- Accessible notice boards, maps & leaflets with hard surfaced paths up to them
- Multiple wheelchair friendly picnic tables with concrete pads and ramps
- Low level servery desk in café area
- Ramp access into café building
- Assistance dogs are welcome
Accessibility at Kings Hill Sports Park
- There are 185 designated parking spaces including 4 designed disabled parking bays in the main car park
- Dedicated changing and toilet facilities for people with disabilities including 4 disabled toilets and one wash room
- Wheelchair accessible footpaths
- Lift access to the Sports Café Bar
- Assistance dogs are welcome. We ask they are kept on a lead around the site and in the Sports Pavilion
