Activities for all the family

Leybourne Lakes Country Park is a popular venue with families, cyclists, walkers and water sports enthusiasts alike. There's an exciting calendar of events running throughout the year including holiday activities, wildlife activity days, bird and bat walks, as well as a popular school programme.

There is also a great children's play area located near the cafe and toilets, including a disabled toilet, in the car park.

Walking & Cycling - A variety of paths are available to enjoy with a number of Public Rights of Way to and through the park. The best accessible paths for visitors with wheelchairs and/or pushchairs are around Ocean Lake which are hard surfaced and reasonably flat. There are no width restricting features, such as stiles or non RADAR kissing gates.

We also have a range of suggested walks you can enjoy:

Cyclists should take care to avoid pedestrians and there are cycle racks in the car park (near the toilets). Dogs are allowed in accordance with the rules around public spaces; dog waste bins are provided.

Malling Parkrun is a free, fun, and friendly weekly 5k community event that takes place at the Country Park each Saturday at 9am. You can walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate – it's up to you. It's free to take part but you need to register before you first come along. Find out more
