The Poult Wood team is excited to welcome John Hockley as the new Head Greenkeeper from Monday 5 April.

John has worked as a greenkeeper for 16 years and brings a wealth of experience to the Course. He has previously been employed at several high-profile clubs including The Wisley, Foxhills, Royal Ascot, Wentworth and Royal Cinque Ports and has worked closely with the R&A and STRI. He has also worked on European Tour and PGA events hosted at Wentworth and Senior events at both Foxhills and Royal Cinque Ports.

John is extremely proud to be appointed as Head Greenkeeper and looks forward to bringing his knowledge and wealth of greenkeeping practices to the Course. He also looks forward to meeting the regular players and hopes to improve the golfing experience for both members and visitors. He replaces Stuart Crowley who is retiring after 37 years. We wish to thank Stuart and his Deputy Paul Pierce who has also retired for all they have achieved at Poult Wood and wish them both a long and relaxing retirement.

We take great pride in our courses and so finding the perfect Head Greenkeeper to replace Stuart for the new season has been a priority for us. We are looking forward to working with John who we hope will take Poult Wood to the next level and ensure we maintain the high standards that Stuart has set over the years.
