Raising funds for local charity Spadework

We are partnering with Offham-based charity Spadework in May, pledging our support to raise funds as well as awareness to the essential service it provides to the local community.

All proceeds from the tmactive Poult Wood Members' Charity Golf Day will be donated to Spadework, which for 38 years has been providing meaningful opportunities for adults with learning and other disabilities.

The Spadework Trainees are involved in a variety of activities, from growing vegetables and plants, to making jams, chutneys, woodwork and craft items as well as the performing arts, including creating podcasts, music and drama. The Spadework Farm Shop, Garden Centre and Café are open to the public 7 days a week.

Kris Healey, Spadework CEO said: ‘We are delighted tmactive has chosen to support the work we do at Spadework - to support people to lead more independent lives and to achieve their full potential within the community.’

Says Martin Guyton, CEO of tmactive: ‘We are delighted to announce Spadework as our chosen charity. This is the third year we have partnered with a charity, having worked with Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex and Heart of Kent Hospice previously, and look forward to raising funds for this very worthy local cause.’
