Tuesdays @ 1pm   Postnatal Yoga (creche open during this time)

This postnatal yoga session will gently guide you back through rehabilitation.  The instructor will incorporate a light touch of all aspects of yoga including postures, breathing and relaxation techniques in your recovery.  Cost £3 per session.  The Creche is open at the same time and can be contacted on 01622 719345 for queries about cost and how to book.

Tuesdays @ 2pm   Parent and Baby Yoga (6 weeks to pre-crawlers)

IMG 20190208 182721

When you practice baby yoga with a new-born, the focus is completely on the baby and their body. You speak directly to them and maintain eye contact as you guide their body through the poses, which helps them to feel comfortable and safe. Baby yoga has a lot of similarities to baby massage with a focus on skin-to-skin contact, then you can add the breathing exercises and stretches, as well. It is a whole body and mind practice for mum and baby.  Cost £5 per session.

Tuesdays @ 3pm   Senior Yoga

A welcoming yoga class to help maintain overall mobility and stability through a range of gentle postures, with props and aids where needed. It is for those needing to take time and space to unwind with a gentle practice to reconnect the mind, body and breath.  Cost £3 per session.

Tuesdays @ 4pm   Family Yoga |also 12 noon on last Saturday of the month

Family yoga is a playful way for adults and children to develop a variety of important skills in a nurturing, non-competitive setting. It is for any age and ability.  In an environment of total encouragement and unconditional positivity, all the family can relax and have lots of fun. Yoga is great for both physical and mental health, through a host of imaginative games and activities to develop awareness of the mind and body whilst building strength, coordination, flexibility and balance.  Cost £5 per session.

Tuesdays @ 5pm   Antenatal Yoga

As your body prepares for your baby's birthday, it is important to maintain core strength while improving flexbility, stability and openess in the hips and pelvis.  You will also become more aware of your breath and learn more ways to control your breathing, something that's ket during pregnancy and labour.  Cost £3 per session.

Fridays @ 11.45am   Pre School Yoga (parent and child age 2-4)

As your little one grows, doing yoga with your toddler is a great way to enrich the bonding process since this is the age of imitation, independence, and rapid brain and body development.  From your shared yoga classes, you will play an intimate part in your child’s developmental journey, in which they will make accelerated progress in a range of areas including:

• Physical development and gross and fine motor control
• Sensory connection, creativity and mindfulness
• Self-awareness, confidence, tolerance and social skills
• Recognising anxiety and developing ways to manage this

Cost £5 per session.

Mums to Be/ New Mums Half Price Swim Offer

now 8174de1f dde9 4010 95ec 8b5d2997801d 1210 680

At tmactive, we want to encourage and support pregnant women and new mums in accessing physical activity opportunities and healthy lifestyle advice in Tonbridge & Malling.

Keeping active during pregnancy and after childbirth will help you adapt to your changing shape and keep you feeling good, relaxed and energised through your new journey of motherhood. Evidence also shows that active women are less likely to experience problems in later pregnancy and labour.

Physical activity is not dangerous for your baby and keeping up your normal daily exercise (running, yoga, dance, walking) is fine and recommended for as long as you feel comfortable. #thismumcan

Our popular Mum to be and new Mum swim offer entitles those eligible to half price swimming for 18 months. Terms and conditions apply (see below). Creche facilities are available at Larkfield Leisure Centre and the Angel Centre.
